The Garda Bike Path, inaugurated in 2018, will be completed in 2021 to unite 19 locations along Lake Garda and making it the longest bike path in Europe.
We would like to add that it will also be the most beautiful in Europe, having already been crowned “the most spectacular European cycle route” between Limone del Garda and Capo Reamol. Thanks to avant-garde engineering, the Garda cycle path will actually be suspended over the lake, perfectly integrated into the environment and offering visitors the thrill of soaring across the waves of Lake Garda for two and a half kilometers.
The path is also accessible on foot, but the view is best enjoyed from bicycles of any kind. In fact, the Limone - Capo Reamol stretch is completely hill-free, making it ideal for the whole family, including children. In other sections, such as between Gargnano and Limone sul Garda, the path climbs up the Valvestino mountains and requires a mountain bike, making it best suited to expert cyclists!
When the bike path is completed, it will cross Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Lonato del Garda, and certain areas of the Valtènesi such as Padenghe sul Garda, Moniga del Garda, and Manerba del Garda. Along the north shore of the lake, it will reach San Felice del Benaco, Salò, Gardone Riviera, Toscolano-Maderno, Gargnano, Tignale, and Tremosine sul Garda before finally reaching Limone, where the most spectacular part of the route begins.
In Lazise the bike path that runs along the lakeside to Bardolino is already in use, and it’s marvelous!
