Lake Garda, Lazise: two names that are inseparable even during this period of confinement. Lazise is indeed the heart of Lake Garda’s Venetian shore, making it the ideal starting point to visit fairytale fishing villages, discover wonderful landscapes, and experience an authentic lifestyle full of traditions.
Lake Garda and Lazise: two names that are inseparable even during this period of confinement. Lake Garda and Lazise’s typical international events and conventions will not be held for the next few days, such as Vinitaly, which has been postponed until 2021. However, we wholeheartedly hope that the Arena di Verona Opera Festival, just half an hour from Lazise, will proceed as scheduled. Shows should start on June 13, with a calendar full of fabulous performances as usual.
We also hope that the historical re-enactment of the Diploma Ottonianum will be able to take place on the second Sunday of May in Lazise. This year the festival should be on May 10, with the traditional historic court parading into the city center of Lazise, accompanied by falconry demonstrations and stands full of ancient artisanal crafts.
If everything works out for the best, we might also have the 2020 Palio del Chiaretto to look forward to, scheduled for 5-7 June in Bardolino, 10 minutes from Hotel Cangrande. This event celebrates the world-famous rosé wine, Chiaretto di Bardolino. Bardolino, a medieval village that has given its name to the DOC wine, provides an evocative setting with everything turned pink for the occasion as well as offering music, shows, and tastings on the lakefront.
